Twee medewerkers van de Ligfietsgarage Groningen brengen een vervangend onderdeel van de Mango naar een klant in Duitsland.

Two employees of Ligfietsgarage Groningen (Recumbent Garage of the city Groningen) deliver an important part to a German customer that rides a Mango velomobile to work everyday. No time to waste, he needed it to bike to work, so Arjen and I decided to bring it to him on Sunday. Ligfietsgarage Groningen for all your velomobile needs!

  • How does the bicycle stand up when it's not moving?

  • A velomobile usually has three wheels for practical reasons like stability and safety. A two-wheeled streamliner is to prone to being blown off the road.

  • Goh, leuk per fiets bezorgt. Kom binnen kopje koffie, kopje soep? Ik hoop dat de klant wat gastvrijer was dan hij overkwam?

  • We hebben uren gekletst, gegeten en gedronken hoor. Niet voor niets was het al ruimschoots na zonsondergang voor we weer in Nederland waren.

  • I had two B&M IQ Speed lights, but I mostly run only one. I can direct the lightbeam up and down, like standard on Quest and Mango. The Speed has a very long battery time.

Arjen has the standard Inoled Extreme. Both Extreme and Speed have a beam that does not blind the oncoming traffic. Arjens' battery was fading so quickly that I lended him my Lupine Wilma lamp with capacious Li-ion battery. The Wilma is a very powerful lamp (as you can see), but the beam is round and blinding.

  • Gezellige video, leuk muziekje drbij!

  • Ha, een reactie van de hoofdrolspeler/geel-met-schrammen-Questrijder. Bij de info heb ik nu de bron van de muziek vermeld hoor.

  • Great service! I don't expect you guys to deliver any parts to me by velomobile ;)

Is the music by Phillip Glass? It sounds like it could be.

  • Great customer service for a great vehicle!

  • This is still one of my favorite Velomobile videos. I love the night scenes, and I love the distance traveled.

  • Thank you for the response to my question.

Yes, I've ordered my Quest with the signal lights.

  • The signal lights are even good visible in sunlight. At this moment 4x2signal lights come with the Quest (that is when you have ordered signal lights)

  • I always enjoy watching this video.

How visible are the turn signal lights during the day time?

Thank you H@rry for putting up with all my questions, past and present.

Delivery date for my Quest is October of 2009.

    I can't wait.....(-;

    David

  • Oh, I had no idea. Never heard of a velomobile, although I have seen bicycles enclosed in fibreglass (?) shell like the one above but only from a distance. THank you for the information.

  • Great video!!!
