@djmars2007 true but I'd expect LR to make big fuel economy improvements with their next generation of vehicles - just check out the Range Rover Evoque. Change takes time ... particularly in the automotive industry.

Good to see a company taking on Global and Environmental commitments like that. Its pleasing to see and to all the people with harsh comments i don't see any other companies doing the same thing. Thats why i own a Land Rover.

@Timberpants I hope, I know the LR guys don´t make the RRS Supercharged and with 500HP just because they want to, but to compete with other beasts like the Cayenne, ML and so..., I personally have a TDV6 LR3, and I just love the engine, here in argentina i can make a 1000km without stopping, travelling wih the cruise control at 80-100km/h. Earlier I had the V8 LR3, and I just could make a few hundred kilometers after the tanking light got on.

if you want the car wth the least carbon foot print buy one of the proper series 1/2 or 3 landys thay have outlasted many other 4x4`s useing 2nd hand parts easyly to repair can ba adaped to new uses and will still be here when newer cars have long gone
