NUS Jazz Band - Treat Her Like A Lady (29th August 2009)

The NUS Jazz Band presents Treat Her Like A Lady! As a commentary on the destruction of earth's natural resources, "Her" refers to "Mother Earth", and on another level, refers to Ms Ella Fitzergerald, the First Lady of Song.

The concert consists of songs performed by Ms Fitzergerald. It will be a 'dialogue' of songs which we as humans are singing to the Earth, and songs that the Earth is singing to us - making it a multi-layered discourse basing on the issue of conservation versus destruction, as a direct response to the NAF09 theme of "environment."
