I had a similar experience back in the 70's. I was driving Alberta Canada on a sheet of ice. There was freezing rain and the road was a skating rink, although I had no problem driving on it. There was a strong cross wind and I had to make a turn onto another highway. So I took my foot off the throttle and as soon as I did, the trailer went sideways. I had to speed up to straighten it out, which was a problem, because I wanted to slow down to make my turn. 5*
