most of my videos are shot with the Canon S3 iS. It's just a good workhorse camera.

The 48x (12x optical, 4x digital) is a powerful combination; I posted a response showing it zoomed in on a jet creating a contrail 'at altitude', the jet is barely visible at 0x zoom!

exactly what i said right at the end, but with a longer "hoooooly" and jaw-dropped. i can't believe how well the digital zoom is stabilized

I use digital zoom very rarely because of what it does with the image. Althoug it's impressive to see what it means 48x zoom.

I love my S3, although I have turned digital zoom off. Just discovered remote shooting via USB cable. Have you done any stop motion yet? Nice boats.... where?
