@OnThe23rd The reason we tell others what we believe is the same reason you do - even at the end of your question you tell people statements that our morality-based. But hey, if it makes you feel more comfortable and disillusioned about death, then I don't want you to die with that as your truth. Please consider the book "The Reason For God".
@OnThe23rd delusional about death? well sadly for you if you die with that in mind you will find out the hard way who was the delusional one! if you are right who cares right? what if you are wrong? which you are. christianity is a relationship with a living God! at least i believe we are made in imago Deo, while you believe in imago goo! how does it feel believing we came from goop? how did we get life from non living? only God!
btw christianity is NOT a religion! i don't care what you say!
What the fuck makes these people think they are entitled to tell others what to believe and that everything they know is wrong. It's crap like this that drives people even further away from religion. But hey, if it makes you all feel more comfortable and disillusioned about death, then whatever. In the end we are all carbon that changes shapes and forms. Thank you for this video, it has opened up my mind even more to why I dumped religion a decade ago.
You forgot that saving faith for salvation does not come from man but from God. The only way you can paint Paul Washers sermon as logically inconsistent is by misrepresenting his theology.
"the gosphl of thomas, judas iscariot, peter the apostle just to name a few"
Such works are not evidence of "rewriting" the Bible nor tampering with Biblical texts as they were never part of (nor is it reasonable to expect that they ever would have been) part of the Biblical canon. These are spurious works and even gnostic works that came much later and were not authored by any of the Apostles or their contemporaries. Pointing to such works isn't dealing with the issue.
The Dead Sea Scrolls? They confirm the reliability of the transmission of the text of the Old Testament. Modern English translations of the Bible have been referring to the Dead Sea Scrolls for accuracy for decades. The reality is the exact oppossite of what you're trying to argue.
@OnThe23rd I feel sad for you.
