Coventry England was heavily bombed by German forces in World War II. This video gives a sense of the devastation to a church that I think is 1000-years-old. The Cross on the altar is made from the lashed-together burned roof timbers.

Church services are held in the facility on a regular basis. A new St. Michael The Archangel Cathedral is adjacent to this memorial. I used a Sony Handicam to capture this footage in 2006. I had viewed it before, but decided on a Friday night that I would begin to use and transfer video from the Sony Handicam. Used Movie Maker on a Vista laptop.

  • I had never seen the damage to this church due to WW 11, very interesting, and thanks for sharing .
