the thought that this might happen scares me. pretty much all of my free time is spent on youtube, facebook etc. i also make mashups of songs, so that would be the end of me. if this bill becomes law... im screwed :/

Pirating a movie is wrong. Copying and selling DVDs on the web is wrong, but SOPA will also take away fandubs, covers and commentaries, EVERYTHING we post for our own joy and no profit will be gone. People don't post clips and commentaries to take away their precious sales, in fact they PROMOTE the sale of products by sharing them with others. I've bought hundreds of songs and armfuls of DVDs, games and merchandise because of AMVs and other fan media. I know for a fact I'm not the only one.
