I prefer the longer games on Red Orchestra.
This one time there was an event on DH on the large map with the small town and the forrests around it, British v Germans (sorry I totally forget the name of the map) where the timer was set to 3 hours. I actually joined it 10 minutes into the game and kept my guy alive through the whole thing, making 17 kills.
Funny though in the end the battle was won on the timer rather than the attacking team taking the objectives.

Try Bad Company 2, fairly realistic in some gameplay and in the destruction aspect. battlefield 3 looks really good though.
And the America's Army series.

@WowAddiction1998 Depends what you're looking for! =P Project Reality is the most realistic 'war' and 'squad' simulator due to it's general feel and that the army has limitations and ranks i.e you can have up to 9 squad leaders all getting objectives from one commander (on massive maps might I add). But Red Orchestra I think mimics the 'shooting' aspects a bit better. And is very good at making you panic! =D Of course there's ARMA II as well, but I never really got into that.

If you enjoy RO and already have Project Reality, you might wanna try out Forgotten Hope 2, which is also based on the BF2 engine and similar to RO gameplay wise.
