Hi - I have to tell Sarah that I loved her show, it was especially for fun me to watch, but there was one tiny error. I started videotaping Real English in 1992, so if some of the videos look like all the people are wearing clothes from 80s, that's their own fault. Serously, this makes me feel my 60 years. I just don't see fashion. Anyway, another great show, Sarah. Thanks!
I learned an interesting fact i felt like sharing with someone today. All the shirts that say "Bears XLI Champs" (or something to the effect of them winning) are all sent to people in Africa and low poverty areas because they both need the clothing and could care less if their saying a team that lost actually won since they've never heard of them. all these shirts are made in advance so they can be soled the next day at stores :) yay random fact =)
Dear olde, drear olde Dayton. Home of the airplane, the step ladder, the pop-top can, the liquid crystal cell, and unmitigated Midwestern malaise. Ha!
It came out in 1986, the year I first visited NZ. As a Japanese highschool brat with limited English ability, I failed to apprciate its cultural significance at the time. Looking back at it now, it's all in there. The story is funny, too.
You may have difficulties getting a DVD, but there are several websites dedicatd to the film and cartoon.
The problem with describing any nationality is that there is such diversity, it's hard to really pin anything down. Southern vs Northeastern Americans are very different, for instance. And "Britain" invovles a number of countries. I'd be so confused if someone asked me either question!
so nice .. so yummy
