another awesome video Jeff!!!! Great work man, please don't roast me too hard about my new PVC vids, I don't have the cash to get a decent generator and my average wind isn't enough to spin these out of control.

How do you connect to the power cables? Don't they get twisted as the turbine rotates with the wind? Do you use some sort of brush assembly?

@troybrownrigg the 220 volt plug in type grid tie inverters are most likely 50hz europeon, not 60 hz american voltage.i'am not sure if you can run a pump with them.

I've purchased several parts for my system from Missouri wind and power. Excellant quality. The Question I have is these 220 volt power inverters sold on line put out 220 from one leg, household 220 power comes from two legs of 110 volts. Can these inverts be used to power 220 volt submersible well pump? Or is the only useful purpose of these inverter is too run a step down transformer to get 110 volts?

Jeff I have a question on the dump load for the VAWT. If I have a 5kw VAWT and I want to test how much DC power it is generating can I test it with lights bulbs in series?

@equinde You can do that with light bulbs. Just make sure to have enough of them.
