@Bassmanbbn4 is you tube named after you??!! The quo version is not copied lick for lick. For starters the outro lead lick is not in the Fogerty song, it was created by Rick Parfitt. The middle solo is also very different. the tempo is also different. so I think you are very wrong.

I'm in this video! 12 seconds in grey hood in front of the red checkered sleeve! :D

Bruce Springstein also sings this sometimes, and Bon Jovi (but he wasn't there) Quo made it good and do it best live
-
It is not Quo original song, but Quo made it their song in my opinion
-
There is no such a thing as a 'Quo Version' because Parfitt and Rossi copied every lick and riff from the Fogerty original.
-
I know its a John Fogery song but they play it in quo style
-
This is not a quo song! John Fogerty wrote it! So he covered John Fogerty :P
This utterly trivial discussion does amuse me as the main point of contention is utterly irrelevant to the YouTube video I posted. It really does'nt matter. Also to say that Quo and Fogerty's version of the song are identical strongly points towards the probability that the person saying this does not possess a pair of ears. Just listen to the difference between the songs on YouTube for proof. What is a fact though it's Quo's version of the song that is well known, and not Fogerty's.

Thanks Guitarman. You learn something new every day. I wasn't aware that Status Quo's song was a cover in itself of a song by John Fogerty as you correctly point out. As db67 indicates, Bjorn Again are covering the Quo version of the song, so I've added the word 'version' in the YouTube title to make this more clear. Thanks.
