Of course she's got a German accent - she's from Hamburg! Top lady and super-talented too.

I am amazed she's got a German accent! I was not aware she seems to be German...pity she faded out of the limelight as I felt at the time she had a lot to offer to mid 90ies music...and even today she could revive her career by coming back with a killer song. She was so sadly romantic...with a French nostalgic feel to it...don't quite know how to describe it.
