in help dismiss the possibility of being formed by the earth through chemical reactions, however, i applaud your thinking outside of the box.

@TubeGiggity If that were true, declining reserves would be, well, not declining. Many oil deposits in the earth have been completely exhausted (and by completely exhausted I mean not economically or technologically able to be gathered) and if the Earth were creating oil on a semi-regular basis, then either old reserves would show some sign of increase, or new deposits would be found "springing up" all the time. I believe the geological formations that oil and natural gas are found

Just asking the question of common sense- is it possible we have it wrong and the planet is producing oil on a semi-consisted basis and is not related the the limited amount of old, dead, decaying plants and animals? But, of course, that would change the constructed reality necessary to maintain the easy belief that oil is a limited quantity with a rising value.

1. If the deepest known fossil record does not extend beyond 16,000 feet in depth, why are we extracting oil from wells as deep as 40,000 feet deep? 2. If what you are saying is true, and the vast volume of methane on the moon Titan is another form of Hydrogen and Carbon, similar to the hydrogen-carbon-oxygen of oil, where did the organic material come from to produce methane on that moon? 3. Maybe oil is abiotic and the result of chemical reactions within the earth, not on its surface?
