Women have experienced more freedom since the Taliban was overthrown in Afghanistan. But some still face abuse from men unwilling to accomodate change.

Zeina Khodr has the story of one woman in Kandahar who, despite regular death threats, is dedicated to policing women's rights.

  • WOW! Malalai you're a great inspiration to women especially in the Muslim male dominated society! KICK ASS!!!! MORE POWER!

  • It is not only Afghan women who have reached the breaking point with the Taliban; the majority of the country have had enough.

It is easy for any group to say they represent a fundamental element of any religion but the truth is that no destructive force will survive on a continuum.

The Taliban have been a destructive aspect of life for too long & for too many. I deeply believe that they will loose strength as time progresses. There is nothing evil about inclusion of the whole of any population!

  • Unfortunately the brave woman the proud of Afghan nation is killed in an attack while going to her office behind her house.she was the only woman whom was serving her life working for the people without scaring from Taliban. we wish her the seventh paradise and God bless her family!

  • Great job Malalai i wish you the best of luck! :)

  • Good luck malali

  • inspirational! afghan women deserve the best... i hope they achieve much more..
