Great video! The chickadees chase me down at a nearby park and are determined to land on my hand and I don't even have anything for them. Maybe I'll have some seeds for them next time I go. Once again great vid!
Thanks. They haven't been around as often at my feeder because of the heavy snowfall and the park where I filmed this is too full of snow to visit them, so I miss 'em. I can't wait until it melts a bit.
That is wonderful. I feed the birds and critters all of the time...I would love to try to hand feed the birds. I usually put the food out and then just sit quietly and observe.
:) The smaller birds feel more secure when you're close to trees. I was surrounded tightly by trees there so they liked landing in my hand for their snacks.
:) The birds there love being hand fed - The nuthatches actually chase the chickadees away to get their share but the chickadees work in pairs, one distracting the nuthatch while the other grabs a seed or peanut half.
:) I'm trying to get the chickadees around my home to hand feed but they don't seem interested. Odd because my previous address was less than half a block away and the birds there loved being hand fed, including the blue jays.
