  • @NYVoice

Garfield seemed to handle many fixes well, even if he was blinded or even died.

I suspect he would have worked with the great Patricia Neal more, if life hadn't intervened.

  • @noirczar

Yes. Sooner or later, she and Garfield had to play together. And Curtiz had to direct.

  • @NYVoice I dont have TCM :0( but I think I might have to. Im in the UK ..I hope they show the same great movies over here xx

  • It was just on TCM Friday night. Certainly edgier and less charming than the earlier loose version with Bogie. Garfield handles a rather difficult fix and merges...sort of.

  • "Ah, when you've seen one island you've seen 'em all."

    Coming out of Patricia, that line is M A R V E L O U S.

  • this looks like a great movie! Would love to see the whole thing

  • such a great clip! RIP PN!

  • What an actress. She delineates the character of Leona in about four seconds, using only her right hand. Fabulous! And the crooked smile and knowing eyes... and Curtiz's compositions and camera moves aren't to shabby either. Great script, great performances, GREAT movie.

  • Mrs. Walton, are you trying to seduce me?
