I remember back in the days in my elder teenyears, when I used to practice Eurythmi with my Steinerclass. Many of us didn't really seem'd to get the point. The reason to that what i think, was that almost everyone was so stressed up and the mainpart of us couldn't reach into their "spirits". That was not possible with only one hour of practice every second day. It's sad, cause when i look

back i understand that i could have used it to develope my self if i only knew how to use it and if i wasn't that stressed up! I would like to do the same as i did at that time, but after a joint, cause that REALLY allouds me to break true the "stress-part", and i would have become so much more in a "harmonial-mode", instead of just getting tired legs and bored out. I also think that we had the harmony(that the joint provide

wow dude those comments are not a good recommendation for a waldorf education.
i'd hit that j, but dude, damn.

wow, this is really weird, i am a waldorf student and i have a b in eurythmy, but we have poems and nice music, this noise is absolutely terrible

When I first saw this video, it COMPLETELY freaked me out. You should be ashamed of yourself for allowing this to be people's intro to what eurythmy is. Video really doesn't seem to be the most living way to introduce the LIVING art.

well done for putting this out there. Some of us do not have access to this wonderful art form on stage. I'd love to see a Choping Prelude performed

Yes, a "dry run" is the best that a video about eurythmy can provide, but at least it exposes people who would otherwise never see eurythmy to this remarkable art. Please buy the full video, and I think that you will have a richer experience!

Really enjoyed this, thank you. I'm an A Level (UK) Performing Arts student specialising in Dance, and I'm interested in incorporating different types of dance theatre into a final piece. I can't really afford the expenditure on the DVD, but is there any relevant websites that you would suggest?
Thank-you for this short introduction into eurythmy (:

There is probably a Eurythmy Association in England that could answer your questions -- google them for help. Best wishes in your endeavors.

Did Steiner invent and develop eurythmy himself?
maxpower1912 4 years ago
Yes, eurythmy was developed as a new art by Rudolf Steiner. In the complete DVD, a historical picture of dance circa 1912 is given, and we hear about other great movement ideas that were coming into being at that time - the work of Mary Wiggens, Martha Graham, Isadora Duncan, and "eurythmics." Steiner's contribution, though arising in this context, is still unique -- get the full DVD and you'll see! -- Eugene Schwartz
