http://bit.ly/donaterogergoodman So many people tell me they're worried about the future of America. I'm also concerned about the path that this country is on. We need leadership to help us envision an America the way we want it to be. But we also need leaders to tell us the truth. We need honest answers, not just easy answers. We have a lot of work to do and we can't get something for nothing. We need to lay out a roadmap 50 to 100 years from now for the America that we want.
Here's what we need to do. We need to reinvest in America, reinvest in our people, higher education. We need to make college tuition deductible, affordable, for working families and middle class parents. We need to make major federal investments in higher education for the instruction of science, technology, engineering, mathematics. We need to close the skills gap and work on beefing up the trades. We need to relieve the burden of student loans for kids coming out of school. They can't get into the labor market or the housing market very well these days. We also need to invest in our physical capital, our infrastructure. We need to make strategic investments in our waterways, our roadways, our railways, to get America moving again, literally.
In the international arena, we need to have a trade policy that honors labor and protects the environment. And we have to have tax policies that give companies the strong incentives to move American jobs back home. And those jobs? We want green jobs. We want to invest in the clean energy economy so that it's good for the earth, good for workers, and good for the bottom line.
There's a lot of work to be done, but in Congress, I'll make sure to implement this plan to get America on the right path again.
I want to represent people just like you and me, so please donate $5 or $10 right now. Thanks for your support.
