www.alertlogic.com | Staying on the topic of achieving and maintaining PCI Compliance, Randy and Amy start this week's show with a quick discussion around who needs to be PCI compliant. Then they move on to the big news of the week, Albert Gonzales was identified as the mastermind behind the Heartland breach that took place in 2008. Randy talks about how the hacker used SQL injection attacks and scans for vulnerabilities to find his way into the servers containing the most coveted credit card data. And Amy suggests that Adrian Grenier of "Entourage" bears a striking resemblance to the hacker and could play Gonzales on the made-for-TV movie.
This happened to a good friend of mine. David Kernell, the former Tennessee student convicted of hacking into Sarah Palin's personal e-mail account, was sentenced on Friday to one year in custody. Kernell, 22, was convicted earlier this year of misdemeanor computer intrusion and a felony count of obstruction of justice. The jury found him not guilty of a wire-fraud charge and hung on a fourth charge for identity theft, after four days of deliberatin20 years in custody and fines to $250,000.
