8 Hp Tecumseh 318CC motor running with part no. 37350 Muffler installed makes a big difference. Exhaust sound is minimized all you hear now is valvetrain noise and mechanical sound. Comet Series 40 Torque Converter. Top Speed 40 MPH

    Thats a good idea but I dont have a welder or know how to weld so it would be expensive to do.

  • Well it depends on where you get the motor from and you have to find a torque converter or centrifugal clutch to match the size of the output shaft on the motor. And tou have to fi a clutch that can handle that amount of power. Mine is only rated to 15HP but you could prob get away with 2 extra HP. You also have to have enough room to mount a v-twin in the back and be able to maount it to the go kart. Either in the existing holes or drill new holes in the mounting plate.   • you should add a small sosage type muffler there cheap but quiet and wels that on the end of that muffler

  • how much do you think itwould take to put like a 17HP motor in that thing with a straight pipe?
