Miss Ettas grandson was my first drummer in my band. She was a very special woman and her family is close to my heart. She taught all her children to be respectfull and kind hearted. I had the privilage of playing at her wake. RIP Miss Etta, you are missed.

I feel a special connection to this lady. She is from the same area that my moms people are from and she looks like my many of my moms people and I love to play the guitar. God bless her and may she rest in peace up there in heaven with Memphis Minnie and Rosetta Tharpe!

Mrs. Baker was a wonderful, sweet and generous lady. It was my pleasure to meet her, share some ice tea and hear her play.
RIP Mrs. Baker. We love you.

Une grande dame du blues!*****
Thank you for posting this. Etta is the reason I started to play the guitar. I saw a special on N.C. public TV of Etta playing in her backyard. Does anyone know of this broadcast? I have searched for 10 years and nobody knows of it..
