just as a little bit of a add on to the guy below gimmicks that work are few and hard and you cant copy another lper because of two things 1 you dont what your doing 2 gimmicks have to work well with your games and your own "style"

@infernoflow LPing isn't a hard thing to do, and that's exactly the problem. It's not difficult, and yet everyone is such a fuckup about it. It's often the most basic things amateur LPers get wrong. To do good LPs you have to be interesting and informative; don't rely on a gimmick unless it fucking works (like Sir Ron).

Deceased Crab had 800 videos when this was made; you just can't make good work that fast.

@Antiformed Thanks for the info. I can see that happening. Especially since SA has a pretty high standard for LPing (which makes sense with it being pretty much the origin of it) I've met many who are really picky when it comes to LPs and while I can see where they are coming from I just can't bring myself to care. I know that most newer LPers are people around my age who just like to play video games thought it might be fun to give recording and commentating a try. I don't feel right judging.

@infernoflow slowbeef and Diabeetus are also members of the forum where he started his LPing, though. He was obnoxious and got in shit for it, which is why he only posts LPs on Youtube now. You can't turn off ratings/comments on SA, but you can on YT.

I'd have to agree with several things you said about him, and I know you're trying to be funny, but I don't think he's as bad as you made him out to be. He's just some quirky dude who likes to play video games and record them. To be honest he's got me into a few great games I never would have known about if I hadn't watched his LPs.

@UnimportantGamer I heard once that someone sent him a friendly compliment in a PM, and DC responded hatefully.

Here's a better Lets Player, TraskNari. All of his content is original, he isn't hateful/vulgar to his fans or his enemies, he's funny (most of his content is begging for the game to be fair to him), and some of the best entertainment in his videos is the rare occasional glitch.
