  • I heard that the yellow brick road was an alagory of The Great depression and the dust Bowl in the states... Emerald city was Utopia (NY) the flying monkeys=GMen in the 20's. The Tin man represented Industry. the Scarecrow =The Farmers or Oikies. The Lion the Courage of the nation. The Wicked Which representing drought (She's killed by dorothy by getting covered with water)...But I really don't know...

  • Randall, I'm not sure you can read into that film that much. You could also say that they were on this road looking for a magic wizard that turned out to be a fake. But they found out that God was really in their hearts. And looking for a man on earth to save us will result in disappointment. And that there are good angels there to help protect us against evil angels. And so-forth. My point is seek the Lord and stop looking for the devil everywhere.

Emerald city =Cox's march to D.C to protest the Gold standrd

  • @truthillusion Your mistaken The Wizard of Oz was written by Frank Baum in 1900 and its symbolism is mainly about the "Crime of 1873" when silver was demonetized and wealth was being stolen from the people. The story is mainly about financial reform regarding monetary policy and fractional banking.

  • This guy is talking complete and utter Marmite

  • i think the witch is supposed to symbolize fascism

  • @krononomikon and Proverbs 20:5 for that...

  • Either way, spiritual eyes are going to see spiritual themes. That's a good thing! It's not even that the person who did the film had to have that purpose, but it could even be used as a parable...

The person who looks towards righteousness and the Kingdom will, if he sees the same thing Randall did, not listen about not following the path. Yet, someone for selfish ends will welcome such a message with open arms, hoping to chuck the "wizard" in that case, hoping to be unafraid to do their own

  • The Wizard of Oz is Pure Unadulterated Satanic Evil!

  • I think it's more about recognising the front that many organised religions put up, how the people who are high up in the organisations can control people and make themselves seem more important than they really are.

  • The characters stuck to the yellow brick road on the way to Oz, and did not leave the path. When they did, they ran into danger. Might be some sun (gospel)symbolism as in follow the path of the Sun. Its about growth from being a child-like Munch-kin to an adult. On the journey Dorothy realises to complete her goal is enlightenment, courage and love. She developed this but she needed self-realisation by facing danger of night. No yellow road or sun. Only the attributes she found on the way.

  • @deldred69

The maker of the movie apparantly said that the yellow brick road is a symbol of the gold standard. There was recently a book written about this, will look it up later, don't have time right now.
