Bootstraps Comedy Theater, in association with Silent Theatre Company, presents the world premiere of The Better Doctor.
A Better Doctor is "A Silent Film On Stage" in the style of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd. Against the backdrop of one of America's Great Depressions, poor children are going without medical care. A Good Samaritan, Velma, has a plot to help them. Her scheme brings her together with a bumbling but good-hearted medical intern who falls in love with Velma and falls in line with her altruistic plan. Together they stand up for the little guy and kick an inefficient and uncaring health care system in the butt.
Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. from June 4 - June 12 and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. from June 17 - June 26.
