Good demonstration of the use of an in-camera double exposure from Jean Epstein's 1928 film. Not half as daring, perhaps, as the multiple exposures in the work of Epstein's colleague Abel Gance, but definitely effective in its right, as is the use of under-cranking to produce a slightly distorted (slowed-down) pacing.
