I've been screaming about this for years. There will never be another Cosby Show, Different World, Jeffersons or any other good and positive black show because they paint us as idiots and criminals. I used to love Family Matters. And I can't stand Tyler mf'n Perry.

Amen!!!!!! Why can't we have a Show like that. I mean there are some classy black people out there but ahhhhh they only want you to think that all the black women out there are like Hoops and New York!! Which means ''trashy and nasty''. Damn Shame! But you talk about Terry Perry, I feel he aint no different, I mean Madea is ghetto, she talks ghetto and walks around with a gun, and white people think all black granny's are like that and so they sit and laugh at the shit 4 real. Sad but true.

@da44show I agree with you 100 percent. I'm actually going to college next year to become a television writer for sitcoms. My plan is to work with abc or cbs to make my own black sitcom. If i do get a chance to make a black sitcom, it will be family orientated and it will have a deep meaning and purpose and it will send out a good positive message. I also have the storyline and characters downpacked. All i need to do is make it happen.

I didnt like Damon Wayans in the Hughleys. His kids acted too white and him and his wife wasnt a good match.

Well I'm an indie film-maker, and I'm trying to address this issue... it's challenging though b/c to make great shows you do need decent budgets, and here in the indie world we are usually strapped for cash.

I have a site here on YouTube though with a coupla shows - BLACK DIMENSIONS TV - check it out and see if you like BACHELOR PAD & AT OUR HOUSE - two positive black sitcoms.

Of course they are low budget, but with funding either of these could be on any network. Let me know what you think!

yeah i think blacks, in essence, we're fucked by america. still feeling the effects of this fuckery today sadly. you wanna talk about race relations and shit i mean, its really not a race issue in my opinion so much as a bullshit issue. if you can see through bullshit really well, then you'll see how futile heartfelt racism is. I mean real racism, deep down in your very core, where you are so fuckin insecure about your race that everything about the issue becomes some big scandal.

don't forget about Roc show. it was positive. it starred charles dutton but the show only lasted 3 seasons but very influential show i'd say. many people forgot bout Roc.
