al alberts was a tough act to follow, we of that era were so lucky to have the 4aces, hilltoppers and other great groups, r.i.p. al you are very much missed.

Freddie Diodatti who replaced Al Alberts is a true professional. I met him in the '80s at The Varsity Club in Kansas City and was impressed by the groups integrity in their following the "score" for each member's part of the origional songs. I too am an Al Alberts fan but Freddie is an artist first, a businessman second, and I appreciate his faithfulness to the music. He sat down with me and explained how the "new" group was able to follow the songs as origionally interpreted.

i saw this on pbs! they had the greatest big bands there! awsome

No other group of that era had the sucess of the Four Aces. They set the standard for singing ballads that all other groups would follow. They are the only Singing Group that had 4of their million sellers used as the theme songs of popular movies. This video shows two of the original members. Al had retired at this time. Great sound from a legendary group. Ron
