  • Okay, Obviously you are very passionate about this and are troubled by the word "become". What you clarified is exactly what I meant. I made this video to supplement a very short part of my lesson where the asexual reproduction part is clearly explained to my students in class. Thank you for clarifying for others watching the video.

  • I'm sorry, but did she really say that the polyps "become" ephyra? I've been studying this species for a long while and the way this is stated is completely wrong. The polyps mature and produce ephyra through asexual reproduction. The polyp and ephyra, while possessing the same DNA, are separate. Using the word "become" makes it sound like the polyp state uproots and magically turns into the ephyra.
