I'm sorry, but did she really say that the polyps "become" ephyra? I've been studying this species for a long while and the way this is stated is completely wrong. The polyps mature and produce ephyra through asexual reproduction. The polyp and ephyra, while possessing the same DNA, are separate. Using the word "become" makes it sound like the polyp state uproots and magically turns into the ephyra.
