My point is that each artist should create an original sound and lyrics and not "sample" other artist's work.

i understand where ur comin from but sampling is an art itself. I would be on ur side if the orginal artist neva got paid for it but trust some of ur fav artists love it when producers sample becuz they make loads off the publishing. Plus anybody can come up with a song but try taking something already done and recreate it into something totally diffrent. its harder

I'm with you! In fact, some songs (like Van Morrison's and this) are perfected the first time around and should never be touched by other artists! lol
This is one of those "deal breaker" songs. If your romatic interest doesn't really love just dancin' and swayin' to this, gotta lose 'em! lol
