This song was a hit for Gene Pitney however this version to my ears is every bit as good if not better than his version. The emotion that Jackie emotes is amazing considering she was just 19 years old when she recorded it!

Have to say, nobody can beat Cyndi Laupers cover of this, the emotion she conveys is almost unbearable when she sings it; beautiful.

I liked Gene Pitney and Jackies version except for the fact that Bill Medley put out a fantastic version in the middle 80's that will knock your socks off. Look for it.

Jackie does a nice job with this song but please .... Gene's version will always be the one that all others are measured against ... ie; the definitive version.
