The Face of the Man on the Shroud

The History Channel presents The Real Face of Jesus airing on March 30, 2010. The show follows a team of graphic experts lead by Ray Downing of Studio Macbeth as they use cutting-edge 3D software to bring a holy relic known as the Shroud of Turin to life.

The video here is too dark because of the limitations of my equipment. It was much more clear on the actual show. The History Channel now has the DVD available here:

@blackwhisk I tend to want to agree. So far, I think it is so fascinating it had to be done, and illustrates another mysterious aspect of the shroud. What frightens me is what people might do in a few years with a movable, programmable CGI. On the other hand, we couldn't do anything worse than we did to the real Jesus, and we have never needed a computer for idolatry.

The man in the shroud has a bigger nose than the computer re-creation. No reason for the animators to make Jesus look like a gentile. In fact, the image on the cloth has a distinctly ethnic Jewish face. Jesus was a Jew and any re-creations of His image should reflect that.  His real name is Yeshua.

Because it's necessary to tell of what He went through for us. By His wounds, WE are healed. Saw 4, is just mindless, inappropriate torture of innocent people. Even though Jesus was innocent, He paid the price of sin in full, so we could have a chance at eternal life with God. All we have to do, is say yes to it, and accept His sacrifice for us.
