20/20 Segment re: Shchuchye

ABCs 20/20 program aired a segment on the Shchuchye Chemical Weapons Facility in Siberia, Russia on April 18, 2003. On May 29, 2009, Senator Dick Lugar will attend the official opening of the Shchuchye Chemical Weapons Destruction Facility in Russia. Construction of the facility was funded by the Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction program. Earlier, the program had secured the nearly 2 million munitions containing VX nerve agent and other chemicals weapons.
