  • Only 894 views. This is criminal, Frank. I love all your stuff. You're clearly very influenced by the late great Kenny Rankin - but that's not a bad thing - and in any event you have a sensational voice all your own. Wonderful. A real joy to listen to.

    Cheers from Downunder,

    Gary

  • Frank, i have a feeling Kenny is smiling down from his peaceful place... among all the pussywillows... every silver morning... and liking what he hears.

I know I'm not alone in saying that it would be great to hear you cover all his songs... I can't imagine anyone who can do it better.

  • I do this but I've had to come up with my own chord substitutions. I really wish that damn microphone wasn't blocking your hands. lol

  • I have to admit...he is about as close to the Great KR as I have heard

  • wow......rankin was the greatest singer ever.....but, man....you are just great.....!!!!!

  • perfecto

  • Dayummm, Frank! This is awesome!

  • Very cool. An excellent tribute to Kenny Rankin—a stellar performer! I remember seeing Kenny on a daytime TV show back in the 70s, the Dinah Shore Show possibly. It was the first time I'd ever heard anyone playing bossa nova. I was totally mesmerized.

  • Su-weet, Frank. You captured Kenny's "feel" completely with this rendition.

  • When I was in college back in the 70's, I could remember listening to Kenny Rankin while it seems like everybody else was into Frampton Boston etc. I loved Silver Morning, Inside, and the Kenny Rankin album. Dude... you broke me your version of this song. It reminded me of playing in a band with my Dad., and how good Kenny Rankin was for my heart. You are an excellent musician. Thanks
