also perm rods are called perm robs because they make your hair curly "perms" are chemical processes that make your hair permanently curly mostly white people use perm while we use relaxers to straighten our hair a lot of people dont know the difference between a perm and relaxer but thats it... thats why those are called perm rods cause it curls ur hair like a perm would. You've probably never had "perm days" lol ^_^

Perm rods gave more def and looked more uniform while the lock loops looked cute but they looked almost like pin curls lol loved both sides!!!
