Everyone makes mistakes and there is nothing wrong with rectifying our mistakes, especially in the deen. Once the truth has been shown to us then it is our duty to change our opinions, rectify our mistakes and follow the truth. Some of the issues discussed in this lecture:

taqleed (blind following)
ittibaa' (following based on knowledge)
strictly following a madhab
principles not personalities
companions' determination in following the truth
clarifying certain ahadeeth which are not authentic
