Now, there is the National Basketball Association, the Women's National Basketball Association and, even, the National Youth Basketball Association. Hey, I can remember the day when I thought the formation of the West Coast Athletic Association was BIG!

Ah, those were the good ol days!

-There was the American Roundball Corporation with Rich Goldberg from the San Fernando Valley, based in Sherman Oaks.
-There was the Cavs Youth Basketball Association and Darryl McDonald from the city of Sylmar.
-Let's not forget Dennis Murphy and the National Junior Basketball League out of Anaheim, California! Absolute the biggest and the best!
-East Los Angeles brought us the Southeastern Warriors and David Medina to bring respectability to the city of Whittier, Bell, and South Gate.
-Can anyone forget that sprawing giant of a girl's club named San Gabriel Valley Basketball Club that had Lyle Honda as it's leader based out of San Gabriel and the San Gabriel Valley?
Goodness, did that club produce some great teams!
-Further south was the San Diego Sol out of North San Diego County near the city of Rancho Bernardo.
-From the Antelope Valley region of Lancaster/Palmdale came the boys from the Antelope Valley Athletic Club with Gary Thomas and Todd Thomas.
-Lastly, there was the San Pedro Knights, which brought fame and fortune to the little communities of San Pedro and Palos Verdes.

Let's not forget the latest addition of the Las Vegas Elite with Brian Sitter out of Las Vegas or Clark Adams of the Arizona Stars program out of Phoenix, Arizona!

As for an international flair, the West Coast Athletic Alliance even added the Gosford City Rebels and the East Coast Aussies, both out of Sydney, Australia; and the ever popular Team Sonora from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico!

Now, it seems that everyone is a 10 year veteran of travel ball before they get to high school.

Oh well...if you can't beat em, join em.

A travel ball coach?
Sounds good to me.

Who needs high school anyway?
