If your TB has high withers, make sure you get a treeless saddle with panels underneath. A lot of treeless saddles don't have a channel which causes the saddle to sit on their spine. Other than that (and making sure the the saddle isn't putting direct pressure on the withers in the pommel) you should be ok. They aren't as stable feeling, but they train you to use your body correctly.
i am thinking of getting a treeless saddle for my TB how have u found it? does it make much of a difference to the horse and is it as secure to ride in?
