I'm hearing my dad, (in my head), bitching at me about being lazy and doing it this way. Hey, I'm on your side... but my dad has this thing in his head that if your not busting your balls, you're not doing it correctly and being lazy. Needless to say, I've rolled my eyes A LOT... at him over the years. (Still do).

@thelazycomic My Dad is the same way, but!! when he seen my lifter he did say to me, glad to see your working smarter, not harder, so I took his words of wisdom as his way of acceptance, take care

This makes no sense. That log has to be stored for seasoning. Are you telling me there are hundreds of these logs stored on the ground next to the furnace?

@Cotronixco no, not hundreds, a few dozen yea, seasoned? most of them, in Michigan the temp will drop way below zero, and the highes durning the mid winter may only be 9 degrees, its durning times like that I will feed the boiler larger logs, as long as they have a good bed of coals they burn fine, and for days too, that is why I like them, I use a tractor to line them up in front of the furnace, then role them by hand to the lifter thanks for watching keep warm ;-)
