With just five weeks before the election, the Montana Republican Party challenged the registrations of thousands of voters based on change of address records. The mass challenge, which is unprecedented in the history of the state, was focused in heavily Democratic counties like Missoula. Video the Vote went to Missoula to talk to challenged voters and to see the impact on the local elections office.

The GOP doesn't give a damn about democracy, or about fair elections. They don't have the numbers to win elections fairly, so they have to resort to stealing them by suppressing votes, using rigged voting machines, etc.

In Ohio we have provisional ballots if there's a problem with your registration. You use one of these, they verify your citizenship, make sure you haven't voted elsewhere, and your vote is counted. With ACORN turning in 5,000 fake registrations in Illinois and being investigated in 10 other states for similar practices I can't blame the republicans for being wary of the same tactics being used by democratic fringe groups in Montana.
