This was the first startup after restoration. I think it went pretty well. The engine belongs to a friend of mine (I'm the guy with the ball cap on) and it was a mess when he started working on it several years ago. Unfortunately, one of the flywheels was destroyed a long time ago. The big pulley was put on in it's place and seems to balance the engine out nicely. Not too many Novo engines out there that are this size!

  • I have a 6HP, fun engines. How much does that one weigh?

  • Not sure what it weighs, but it's heavy!

  • does it have a bent crank shaft . the fly wheel has quite a bow in it

  • Crankshaft is not bent. The flywheel hub is a slightly loose fit on the crankshaft. When the key is driven in tight, it throws the flywheel out of true.

  • i like it runs nice i would like to see that cat in the back run if you can

  • He's not quite done with the crawler in the background. It's a Terratrac crawler. He actually got it out of a dumpster and has photos to prove it! I will post a video of it when it's done.

  • Sounds like a pumping unit

  • That is very very cool.

  • we have a novo and we live in england but we have also just bought a ideal engine from canada but i think the ideal and the novo are the same

  • Very nice Novo!

It's absolutley gargantuan! have never seen one so big and it's about twice the size of my old engines.

    Great video, 5*****

  • ahh that's maybe what my empire 2.5 is then too. It has a bit of a wobble in it as well.. maybe that is good then it will come apart easier then if needed to

  • Has the engine been put under a load yet?
