Bath salts are a great way to relax and take a break from the day; in particular, Epsom salts help with relaxing the muscles and soothing the skin. Feel free to make your salts all one colour, or mix things up for a rainbow effect! If you want 'peaks' in your bath salts, simply make the layers as usual and then use a barbecue skewer to 'poke' into the salts.

You will need:
Epsom salts
Food coloring
Essential oil(s) of choice
Small jar to store salts

  • I'm pretty sure red + yellow = orange. that's why you got that orange color in the beginning. Since the salts are a white-ish color, the red by itself will get diluted to a pink color so all you need is a little bit of red. The more food coloring you use, the more intense the color. So pink = less red, Red = a lot more

  • will the food coloring stain the skin??
