This wasn't at the Grammys. This was at a pre-SuperBowl part by Mark Cuban. This wasn't a concert for the fans. I think people were standing there in order to take the song in. He was performing something they had never heard before. lol

I have no idea, but that's how it's always been. I think it makes people more focused on the album as a whole instead of just a number one hit out the gate. Plus, the songs he releases as first singles seem to always be a small snapshot of what to come. It makes you want to hear the whole record. He's not a singles artist, he sells bodies of work.
