@INDUSTRIAL3X yes basicly combat sambo but even combat sambo take to much from systema,in Russia not only one spetsnaz GRU Spetnaz is pure systema Millitary spetsnaz combat sambo or Korean style

But really , I would say buy some of the DVD's and start a study group.That is the hardest part to get mature people to committed to a study group and then go to Canada and study with Vald.I hear his classes are very affordable

I did some reseach, this here is more propaganda. Basically, Spetsnaz is a generic name given to a few dozen different special armies in russia, and NOT all of them were taught Systema AT ALL! Just the most important ones. So don't trust a teacher just because he was a spetznas! I only trust Mikhail Ryabko and the people whom he's personally apointed, such as Vladimir.. I like Riazanov too though..
