This is a simulation based on a home made launcher of 815 kg and a payload of 500 grams like the PicoRover. The time of arrival to the Moon is about 2 days and 12 hours. This mission is composed by a Rocket of two stages, a hover and the PicoRover. The first stage made of APCP (IspVAC=260 s) is 731 kg (14 kN thrust) burn out is 128 seconds (DeltaV=5,000 m/s). The second stage made of bi-propellant (IspVAC=310 s) is 82 kg (1.3 kN thrust) burn out is 165 seconds (DeltaV=7,600 m/s). The hover also with bi-propellant (IspVAC=310 s) is 2.5 kg (51 N thrust) and works for 120 seconds (DeltaV=2,800 m/s).

  • This is a home made simulator. Nothing special. Programed in Visual Basic and OpenGL.

  • I used C++ to control OpenGL and GUI is made in Visual Basic. Joshua gave me flight equations hence simulation is done in Visual Basic..

  • would have been easier to use Orbiter simulator to do this less work and it would have looked good, it could have done this and more
