Here is a speedy tutorial of me doing a classic "Sugar skull" or "Day of the dead skull." For the face I used a white foundation blended with a 187 MAC brush. The eyes I outlined them in MAC "Brown, now" greasepaint stick- colored in with MAC "Plum Dressing." The outlined shapes were used with MAC superslick eyeliner in "On the Hunt" and filled in with MAC "Chrome Yellow." I blended and smudged the heavy lines using a MAC 210 brush with MAC "Carbon" eyeshadow. Hope you enjoy.... plenty more to come.

  • Sugar skull, dia de los muertos, la catrina.... it all looks the same IMO. All though it may not be totally "traditional" - you all get the idea! Thank you for watching friends. There are so many talented artist on here who do not get enough credit... Keep the comments, shares, and views coming! XOXO- Jilda

  • best sugar skull tutorial!!

  • @devilsdevil19

Touchy! I can see english is your second language so maybe have a lie down and regain some strength from using your brain. I know it can be difficult, I myself speak 4 languages. Love youuuuu! xx

  • @nicorasan Insult? Love how you precede with a petty insult in a way to prove point. Actually, reply was the word i was looking for, i didn't think witty was something you possess. Avoiding the topic seams to be your strong point, along with insults. So that leaves you with your argument having zero merit, so i will no longer continue this.Enjoy your life.

  • @devilsdevil19

yeah I guess I could learn a few things from you, for instance how to be an insufferable moron

and I think you meant retort not replay...

  • @nicorasan WOW, your replay was a grammar error in attempt to make me look like the uneducated one, A+. Keep calling it sugar skull i guess learning isn't a part of your growth as a human being.

  • @devilsdevil19

Sugar Skull. Sugar Skull. Sugar Skull.

For someone as 'educated' as yourself I am surprised you weren't able to spell the word honour correctly, US spelling or otherwise ;)

  • @nicorasan Its not called sugar skull. Its catrina or la calavera catrina. i wish people educated themselves about the history of dia de los muertos before they posted up these tutorial as a Halloween costume. Dia de los muertos is a way to honer the dead and to understand death not as something to fear but to embrace.
