Polish pianist Frédéric François Chopin, Prelude (Op. 28 No.20 in C Minor). This piece is beautiful and truly does remind me of a modern piece by Barry Manilow entitled "Could It Be Magic". Do a search on youtube for Manilow's rendition and you'll see what I mean... striking similarity, for sure. If I find that piece on youtube, I will link to it below.

Enjoy.

  • the best version I have heard of this piece

  • The similarity between this piece and Barry Manilow's "Could it be Magic" is no coincidence, sadly.

  • This was the best interpretation I've heard. Congratulations!!!

  • Just a bit more. You can find the video I mentioned by simply typing in Manilow Can It Be Magic in the above YouTube search. It was the first one when I did the search and lasts 5.48 .

  • It should remind you of Manilow, because he's said that he took this as the melodic basis for "Could It Be Magic" If you haven't found it already, there is a live performance where a very young Manilow introduces the song by listing Chopin as one of the song's composers, explains why and then plays the complete prelude before going into the song.

  • I am catching a great deal of breathing that distracts from the beauty of the song. A little fast, but excellent tone. Could you record it on a better microphone?

  • lovely
