On July 10, 2002, Tomahawk performed a free show at Amoeba Records Hollywood, (those lucky people!)

I think the quality could have been better, it was shot with 4 different camera angles, but also the sound was muffled at times, and also the instruments to me overpowered Mike's vocals at times, but nonetheless, a still fun concert to watch.

This band is awesome, I think Duane Denison did a real great job writing the music and lyrics, even though I think people want to give credit to Mike Patton for Tomahawk, this isn't Mike's band, he supplied the vocals and samples, that's it.. Tomahawk is actually the brains of Duane Denison.

Here in this video, we see the outside and inside of Amoeba Records, and also the boys setting up, before going into these 2 songs..I sure didn't realize how huge Amoeba Records is on the inside!

  • I wish they would tour again.

    Duane Denison wrote the lyrics!?

    is that correct?

  • Yep, he sure did, the music and lyrics, I'm sure Mike threw some stuff in, but this was Duane's baby :)

  • If you like tomahawk go buy anonymous. Amazing album, and wonderfully different just like all their stuff.

  • I bought it and love it as well, was hoping one day for them to play it live :)

  • Who is acting like a crazy fanatic fan?

  • @arstyfairie08 where can i read about the writing credits for tomahawk? their albums are outstanding.

  • boner

  • My rooms bigger than that place.

  • @HarvesterTube I have to disagree. If Mike Patton was a serial killer, he would be so good none of us would ever have that thought cross our minds. Even in the way of joking. =) XP

  • something about crappy old cameras like this that i fucking love

oh and i fucking love this song

  • i think i like the first self titled one best

  • @rockforchoicee

Yeah...was at this particular show--great at such a small/intimate venue...Mike's a really nice, humble guy & then when he performs he gets in a ZONE -- like watching someone possessed...voodoo caliber--quite remarkable :)

  • I was at this show...it's cool to see this up on youtube.

  • @flip8519 He actually seems like a really nice guy, at least that's how he looks to me =P. I mean, he acts very respectfully in interviews and also with the fans. I think he's grown a lot from what he used to show back in the days, not to mention how much he's grown as a musician.

  • He may look like a serial killer but I met mike Patton and he's a cool guy . Very down to earth an very mellow too
