BY the way!!! The hardest effect was one you probably did not notice. I replaced the background the dolly shot when the girl fires the flame and the guy absordbs it and then lightning lock each other. That train and sky is not really there. But man am I proud of how it turned out. Oh and the 3D matchmoved shot of the hologram as Micah is getting out of bed, that was cool.

  • Kinda got a max payne feel, not in a bad way, really nice production!

I am hating after effects though, I love indesign, photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, and the rest, just cant seem to get my head around its inner workings, what sources did you learn from?

  • @bleepbleep1234 Dude go to Video Copilot dot net slash tutorials to get some good after effects training!

  • @wrenthereaper Also really love the music man, how do you get a project like this together with so many peeps?

  • @bleepbleep1234 on youtube search "Rift outtakes" and the first result should be a behind the scenes video for this. It does a pretty good job of explaining that I think. Plus I have a breakdown/tutorial for the effects in the video as well.

  • at what age did you get started with visual effects?

  • @xxiamg0dlyxx I was 18 when I did my first clone. I was 20 when I started using After Effects. I'm 22 now.

  • @xshelwynx Yay!! Now you can take your patronizing elsewhere!! Or stop all together, lol now that would be a step up in the world.

  • Steampunk, anyone? Or a steam/cyber mix, maybe. It was awesome. I loved how there was only color: blue.
