  • Beautiful! Thank you.

The pronunciation is a bit different from the Yiddish I've heard. Where does this pronunciation originate?

  • Pronunciation is probably due to the fact that my parents spoke German at home, not Yiddish

  • this is nice do you happen to know the translations :D

  • I ask a question-answer if you can What fortune does G-d give everyone? No one gets more than one-tears do not help! Whoever loses this gift knows exactly what I mean A Jewish Mama, nothing in the world is better How bitter when she is gone How bright is home when mother is in it How sad and dark when she is gone She runs through water and fire for her child It is the greatest sin not to value her How lucky and rich is the person who has received such a beautiful gift
  • i'd love to have a music sheet for it. do you have one pls?

  • I am afraid I do not have a music sheet. I only have the words. But this is such a well-known song that music must be available for it. Why not try google?

  • This brought tears to my eyes for two reasons. Firstly because it is so beautiful to not only hear Yiddish sung by a man with such a wonderful voice, but secondly, because it reminded how much I miss both my Yiddishe Mammeh and Tateh. It brings back some of the folklore that I grew up with, being a child of Holocaust survivors. Truer words were never sung.

  • Beautiful voice!

  • Amazing! My grandmother used to sing a song similar but it was a little different. It spoke of that fact that a yiddishe mother is something special and "ven me hotze nisht" when you do not have one it is very hard. She also sand beautifully, I have a video and I want to post it on youtube one of these days.

  • Merci. Quelle émotion. Un juif est éternellement reconnaissant à ses parents.
