This brought tears to my eyes for two reasons. Firstly because it is so beautiful to not only hear Yiddish sung by a man with such a wonderful voice, but secondly, because it reminded how much I miss both my Yiddishe Mammeh and Tateh. It brings back some of the folklore that I grew up with, being a child of Holocaust survivors. Truer words were never sung.

Amazing! My grandmother used to sing a song similar but it was a little different. It spoke of that fact that a yiddishe mother is something special and "ven me hotze nisht" when you do not have one it is very hard. She also sand beautifully, I have a video and I want to post it on youtube one of these days.

Merci. Quelle émotion. Un juif est éternellement reconnaissant à ses parents.

Dude, you can sing!
Beautiful! Thank you.
The pronunciation is a bit different from the Yiddish I've heard. Where does this pronunciation originate?

Pronunciation is probably due to the fact that my parents spoke German at home, not Yiddish

I am afraid I do not have a music sheet. I only have the words. But this is such a well-known song that music must be available for it. Why not try google?
